Al pre-vertice del Food Systems Summit 2021 delle Nazioni Unite (Roma, 26 Luglio 2021): l'umanità ha fame di cambiamento, e dobbiamo lavorare insieme per raggiungerlo.
Oggi, a Roma, , ho ricordato cosa possiamo fare per conseguire la giustizia alimentare.
Le tre “C” di Collaborazione, Coordinamento e Compagnia (Amicizia) possono essere l’antidoto per mettere fine alla fame nel mondo di oggi, ma altre tre “C”, Conflitti, Covid-19 e Cambiamento Climatico possono complicare i nostri sforzi.
Papa Francesco, nella “Fratelli Tutti”, ha scritto come la “fame è criminale”, poiché il “cibo è un diritto inalienabile”.
Dobbiamo agire ora, unire le forze e costruire – sulle basi della solidarietà che esiste tra i membri dell’umana famiglia – un sistema alimentare rinnovato e resiliente che sia equo, morale e giusto. Senza eccezioni.
The human family is hungry for change. And we must work together for it.
Today, in Rome for the United Nations Food Systems Pre-Summit, I talked about what we can do to achieve food justice.
Three Cs, Collaboration, Coordination and Companionship could be the antidote to the hunger in today’s world, but other three Cs, Conflict, Covid-19 and Climate Change complicate our attempts.
Pope Francis wrote in Fratelli Tutti that “hunger is criminal”, since “food is an inalienable right”.
We must act now, join forces and build on the solidarity that exists between members of the human family towards a renewed resilient food system that is equitable, just and fair. Without exception.
